There are two main differences:
1) Translation Features:
The Translate Version supports translation in 160+ languages, including offline translation, real-time call and video translation, simultaneous interpretation, and photo translation. The Basic Version does not include any translation functions.

2) App Support:
The Translate Version connects to the EarDance App, which enables translation management, AI features, firmware updates, and device settings. The Basic Version does not support app connection.

All other aspects - appearance, comfort, sound quality, noise reduction, and Bluetooth version - are identical.

Yes. The Basic Version can be upgraded by purchasing an additional upgrade service.

After upgrading, it will support translation features and EarDance App connectivity, matching the functionality of the original Translate Version.

You can download the app in either of the following ways:

1) Scan the QR code on the product box or user manual

2) Search “EarDance” in the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)

3) After installation, please allow the required permissions (Bluetooth, microphone, and camera for photo translation).

The EarDance App includes:

1) Translation management (language selection, multi-modes, offline translation)

2）AI voice notes with transcription (supports 13 languages)

3) Photo translation

4) Audio & video translation

5）Simultaneous Interpretation

6）Firmware updates for performance optimization

The Translate Version supports six major translation scenarios:

1) Text & Vocie real-time Translation (160+ languages)

2) Offline Translation (no internet required after language packs are downloaded)

3) Real-Time Call Translation (compatible with apps like WhatsApp, Skype, WeChat, etc.)

4) Video Call Translation (works with mainstream video chat apps)

5) Simultaneous Interpretation (two-way, real-time translation for meetings and conversations)

6) Photo Translation (menus, signs, documents, and printed text)

Steps:
1) Connect the earbuds to the EarDance App

2) Go to “Mine” - “Offline translation download”

4) Download the required offline language packs in advance

5) The offline mode is available only in Translation Mode. It is not supported in other modes, including Free Talk or Earbuds + Phone Mode.

Note: Offline translation accuracy may be slightly lower than online translation. Language packs must be downloaded while connected to the internet (Wi-Fi recommended).

A brief 1–2 second pause is normal during real-time translation.

After the speaker finishes talking, the system needs a moment to detect the end of the sentence, process the speech, and generate an accurate translation. This ensures better context understanding and more natural results.

This is not a Bluetooth or connection issue - it’s part of how AI translation works.

For smoother performance, we recommend speaking in complete sentences and pausing briefly after finishing.

Offline translation supports 13 commonly used languages:
Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Vietnamese, Thai, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi.

Please note: Offline translation requires downloading the corresponding language packs in advance through the EarDance App.

How to use:

1) Open the EarDance App and select Photo Translation

2) Allow camera access

3) Aim at the text (menu, sign, document) and keep the image clear and steady

4) Tap the capture button to translate 

If recognition fails:

1) The image may be blurry or lighting may be too dark/bright — adjust the angle and lighting

2) Text may be blocked — ensure the full text is visible

3) The required language pack may not be downloaded (offline mode)

4) Handwritten or decorative fonts may not be recognized accurately

Pairing steps: 
1) Open the charging case and remove the earbuds — they will enter pairing mode automatically.

2) Enable Bluetooth on your phone

3) Select “Padmate S80” from the Bluetooth list

4)The indicator light will stop flashing once connected

If pairing fails:
1) Place the earbuds back in the case, close it for 10 seconds, then try again
2) Disconnect other nearby Bluetooth devices
3) Keep the earbuds within 10 meters of your phone
4) Remove old pairing records and restart both devices

Yes. Both versions are IPX4 water-resistant, suitable for sweat and light rain.

Please note: 
1) Not suitable for swimming or showering.
2) Avoid contact with beverages or seawater
3) Dry the earbuds promptly after sweating
4) Ensure the charging contacts are completely dry before charging

The total battery life (including the charging case) is up to 24 hours.

Single-use time varies by volume and usage.
Translation features consume slightly more power.

Tips to extend battery life:
1) Return earbuds to the case when not in use
2) Lower the volume level
3) Disable unused background features
4) Avoid extreme temperatures
5) Keep firmware up to date

Try this quick reset:
1️⃣ Make sure the earbuds are NOT connected to any device.
2️⃣ Place one earbud into the case and close the lid.
3️⃣ Tap the other earbud 5 times quickly until the light turns off.
4️⃣ Take the first earbud out and repeat — tap 5 times until the light turns off.
5️⃣ Reset complete: the white indicator light will flash, indicating pairing mode.

   ⚠️ Keep the charging case closed during the entire process.If the light doesn’t turn off, repeat the steps.
