Padmate S30 Bone Conduction Open-Ear Sport Headphones

This headset has a concert like sound quality, but don't turn the volume too high or your temples will feel a bit of a vibration something like a tens unit. I have used a bone conduction headset that was 3 x the price and this one honestly stacked up pretty good in comparison for sound quality, comfort and battery life. It is a great beginner headset for someone wanting to try bone conduction.

Also, it worked pretty well for me, to make and receive calls while driving. That was a great safety reason for getting it as I can hear the caller and listen for other road distractions as well. That is the whole purpose, for me anyway, of having the bone conduction headset and it works.

Trying to break away from wired earphones/earbuds, as I am constantly getting the cords & wires tangled, and often forgetting them when I dont have the music playing. Figured a wireless, Bluetooth headset would solve the problem.

These S30 earphones solve a couple of the problems. They are Bluetooth compliant, and they pair easily with my current MP3 player. Their current over the ear design makes them easy to use, and they do stay in place (even with a head as large as mine). The charging port is also easy to access and with a quick 2-hour charge time, I can set these up the night before, and theyll be ready to use in the morning for my commutes.

The only negatives I can tell is the fact these dont always cancel out exterior sounds when in use (I ride my bike on a busy highway, and large block engines or other loud sounds do drown out the music). Plus, the Bluetooth connection needs to be maintained at a steady position. Putting my MP3 player in my pocket as I right, interrupted the signal while going over jolts and bumps on my bike. Plus, the volume should not be turned up too high on these earphones, as they will vibrate against my ears.

Still, for the fact these are still a pretty decent pair of earphones for their price. If youre looking for something that is not too expensive, and just use for exercise or a commute like on a bus or train, these should be okay for you.

I hadnt heard of bone conduction headphones until my son called me to test his new ones out. He told me all about them, and I wanted a pair.

Now I have them, and they are fabulous. The cool thing is I can hear whatever is playing through the headphones, and what is happening around me too. I feel safer walking on my dirt road, as I can easily hear vehicles coming now.

I have a pair of Bose headphones with excellent sound, but I dont hear outside noise. This makes my walks a little bit dangerous. When I exercise with them on, I can hear my heartbeat, which bothers me. Since these headphones are not in my ears, that is not a problem.

The sound is good. I only have the volume on my iPhone up one click and can hear it fine

I dont use them for phone calls, so I dont know how well that works.

Worth its value! The headset is pretty straightforward to use, and quite convenient for daily use. The audio quality is slightly on the lower side and the weight does get uncomfortable after a while, compared to other competing bone-conduction headsets, but I suppose that's the sacrifice needed to be made given the much lower costs.
